Free Devotional 7 Simple Ways to See God's Hand in Your Life

What Psalm talks about blessings?

The book of Psalms is full of encouragement! And in the following verses, we see the blessings of God in real-life situations.

Psalm 23 is one of the most popular scriptures. We all know it by heart. And it would be easy to skip over it and move on. But I encourage you to read it with fresh eyes. I know God has a blessing inside of it for you today.

And Psalm 1 is one of my personal favorite Bible verses. It talks about being like a firmly planted tree next to a stream of water. There’s something about the simplicity of this image that always comforts me and fills my heart with joy. I pray it will do the same for you too.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
     He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
     He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

Psalm 23:1-6 ESV

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.

Psalm 1:1-3 ESV

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.

Bible Verses about Blessings and Prosperity

When we think of blessings, it’s usually wealth and prosperity that come to mind first. And although God doesn’t promise us great wealth, He does promise to always take care of our physical needs.

In the next group of scriptures, you’ll see an interesting verse from Malachi. It is the only Bible verse where God tells us to try Him. In every other verse, He tells us the opposite. But in this one scripture about tithing, God promises to open the windows of heaven and pour down a blessing if we give our tithe.

It is also true that blessed people, bless people. And this is our call as Christians. To bless those around us in any way we can, financially, emotionally, or spiritually.

Let these Bible verses about prosperity bless you, as you bless the people in your life.

Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.

Malachi 3:10 ESV

He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you.

Deuteronomy 7:13 ESV

Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God that he has given you.

Bible Verses about Overflowing Blessings

We dream of the day we will have it all. God’s blessings will rain down and overflow into every part of our lives.

But that day doesn’t have to be a dream. God wants to give you overflowing blessings right now. And these scriptures are a testament to that fact.

Each one tells us how to achieve this dream of abundant blessings. Can you spot the key?

That’s right, it’s giving. Instead of receiving, we give and give, and then God will bless us with the same measure that we have blessed others.

It’s a simple concept, yet somehow in our quest for fame and fortune, we miss it.

So, let God’s Word show you the way and you’ll hear Him call you a good and faithful servant very soon.

Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Luke 6:38 NKJV

His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’

Matthew 25:21 NKJV

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
