So, let’s lift up our hands in grateful praise to the One who saved our souls and read these Inspirational Bible Verses about Praise and Worship.

Praise in the Bible

Let’s begin with the word Hallelujah. It’s what we think of first when we talk about worshiping God.

But it is actually two words in one. Hallelu, which means to praise joyously and Jah which is a part of the name of the Lord.

Combined they simply mean, praise the Lord!

We find this word for praise in the Bible in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Hallelujah! Yes, praise the Lord! How good it is to sing his praises! How delightful, and how right!

Psalm 147:1 TLB

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.

Revelation 19:6 ESV
