Bible Verses for Spring that will Renew Your Spirit

Bible Verses for Spring that will Renew Your Spirit

Spring is in full bloom! It’s a beautiful time of renewal in nature. The trees are budding, and the flowers are peeking out. They’ve come to life after a long winter’s rest. Just like them, we’ve been tucked away during the cold winter months and we’re ready to spring to life too. And nothing accompanies the backdrop of spring better than the many scriptures about this glorious event. So, today we’re reading Bible Verses for Spring that will Renew Your Spirit. Together, let’s fill our minds with God’s Word, allow it to take root in our hearts, and renew our tired spirits. In no time at all, we’ll be ready to bloom.

To begin our Spring Bible Verses, I’ve chosen one of my favorites… This scripture isn’t so much about spring, but instead a new thing that God wants to do in our lives. And since spring is about renewal, I thought it was the perfect place to start. I hope it speaks to you the same way it does to me.

Do not remember the former things,

Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing,

Now it shall spring forth:

Shall you not know it?

I will even make a road in the wilderness

And rivers in the desert.

                             Isaiah 43:18-19

 The same sentiment of “spring forth” is echoed again later in Isaiah…

For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

                             Isaiah 61:11

Spring wouldn’t be spring without flowers. Their vibrant pops of color are a metaphor of the delicate balance between life and death and represent the new life we have in Jesus. So, here’s a short list of the many verses about flowers…

The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.

                              Song of Solomon 2:12

I am the rose of Sharon,
And the lily of the valleys.

Like a lily among thorns,
So is my love among the daughters.

                              Song of Solomon 2:1-2

So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

                             Matthew 6:28-29

The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever.

                             Isaiah 40:8

As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

 For the wind passes over it, and it is]gone,
And its place remembers it no more.

                             Psalm 103:15-16

He comes forth like a flower and fades away;
He flees like a shadow and does not continue.

                             Job 14:2

Without the spring rain, we wouldn’t have the blessing of brightly colored flowers. Likewise, these scriptures give us a picture of God’s blessings falling on us like rain…

Ask rain from the Lord at the time of the spring rain—

The Lord who makes the storm clouds;
And He will give them showers of rain, vegetation in the field to each man.

                             Zechariah 10:1

In the light of a king’s face is life,
And his favor is like a cloud with the spring rain.

                             Proverbs 16:15

Let my teaching drop as the rain,
My speech distill as the dew,
As raindrops on the tender herb,
And as showers on the grass.

                           Deuteronomy 32:2

Let us know,
Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord.
His going forth is established as the morning;
He will come to us like the rain,
Like the latter and former rain to the earth.

                             Hosea 6:3

They waited for me as for the rain,
And they opened their mouth wide as for the spring rain.

                            Job 29:23

Springtime means fresh growth, not only for the plants for us too. May we rejoice in God’s truth during this season of renewal…

but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

                            2 Peter 3:18

Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.

                            1 Chronicles 16:38

As we close out our time together reading Bible Verses that will Renew Your Spirit… This last one is my prayer for myself and for you this spring and always. 😊

Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

                               Psalm 51:10

Easter Bible Verses that will inspire you everyday!

Easter Bible Verses that will inspire you everyday

If you have come here looking for inspiring Easter Bible verses, you are in the right place! I pray that these verses will give you encouragement and inspiration as we prepare for this momentous holiday season.

Easter is THE Christian holiday. It represents the most important and fundamental belief of our Christian faith, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Without the resurrection, Christianity would be pointless. But because of it, we have the hope of a future here on earth and in heaven with Him.

It is no small wonder that we are the only world religion that worships a living god. Jesus is alive! He has risen from the grave! Easter is the time we set aside to remember the sacrifice of our loving Savior. So let’s celebrate Him today!

Classic Easter Scriptures…

These verses are perfect for writing in Easter cards, Sunday School lessons, or reading aloud at your Easter dinner and egg hunt.

He is risen! He is not here.

                          Mark 16:6

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty.

                                                    1 Corinthians 15:12-14

He is not here; but has risen! Remember how He spoke to you, when He was still in Galilee, saying, The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.

                                                         Luke 24:6-7

And when they had come to a place called Golgotha, that is to say Place of the Skull, they gave Him sour wine mingled with gall to drink. But when He had tasted it, He would not drink.

Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet:

They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.

                                                           Matthew 27:33-36

7 Simple Ways to See God's Hand in Your Life by Master's Hand Collection

to whom He also presented Himself alive after his suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

                                                             Acts1:3

Then the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last. So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying “Certainly this was a righteous Man!”

                                                            Luke 23:45-47

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

                                                           John 19:30

And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them.

                                                            Acts 4:33

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. John 19:30 #Easter #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

In His Own Words: Jesus spoke about His impending death and resurrection…

There is nothing better than the words of Jesus! You just can’t improve on them. Jesus knew what was going to happen to Him, yet He still chose the cross. And to “hear” His words flow through our lives as we read them is an amazing experience.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

                                                           John 11:25

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? John 11:25 #Easter #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

                                                          Matthew 12:40

The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him, and on the third day He will be raised up.

                                                          Matthew 17:22

All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written:

I will strike the Shepherd,

And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.

But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.

                                                          Matthew 26:31-32

Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priest and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And on the third day He will rise again.

                                                           Mark 10:33-34

Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

                                                          John 2:19

Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.

                                                           John 10:17-18

Old Testament Prophecies of Jesus death and resurrection…

These scriptures plainly show how much forethought went into the coming of the Messiah and His sacrifice on the cross. Before time began God was making a way for us to be with Him. He had a plan, a plan to redeem us through His Son.

For me, these verses kick start my faith when I need it the most. When I read them, fear and doubt disappear and all that is left is the peace which surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7)

 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,

Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

                                                            Psalm 16:10

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. Psalm 16:10 #Easter #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

For dogs have surrounded Me;

The congregation of the wicked has

enclosed Me.
They pierced My hands and My feet;

I can count all My bones.

They look and stare at Me.

They divide My garments among them,

And for My clothing they cast lots.

                                                        Psalm 22:16-18

And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; and they will look on Me whom they have pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

                                                     Zechariah 12:10

For I know that My Redeemer lives,

And He shall stand at last on the earth;

                                                   Job 19:25

He will swallow up death forever,

And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces;

The rebuke of His people

He will take away from all the earth;

For the Lord has spoken.

                                                 Isaiah 25:8

But He was wounded for our transgressions,

He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray;

We have turned, every one, to his own way;

And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

                                                Isaiah 53:5-6

God planned the death and resurrection of Christ very carefully. Each intricate detail thought out and painstakingly put into place so that we could have complete confidence in our faith and salvation. Because of Jesus’s death, we have forgiveness of sin. Because of His resurrection, we have eternal life in Him. Praise the Lord, we serve a Risen and Living Savior!

Have a very happy Easter and may God bless you!

More Inspiring Bible Verses about God’s Hands

More Inspiring Bible Verses about God's Hands

Last week we looked at some Inspiring Bible verses about God’s Hands. There are so many, honestly, it was hard for me to pick just a few. So, this week I’d like to share More Inspiring Bible Verses about God’s Hands.

As we talked about then, hands are a constant in my life. They play an important part in my artwork. Each piece begins with a word that reminds me of who God is. From there I place pictures of hands into the art to spell out that unique word in American sign language. Without these pictures, my art wouldn’t exist.

And these pictures wouldn’t exist without the person posing for them. They’re my father’s hands and that makes them extra special to me. Plus, he thinks it’s kinda funny being a hand model. 😊  He didn’t see that one coming.

My father’s hands have done so many things for me over the years. When I was young, his hand took mine as we walked down the sidewalk together, keeping me close and protected. Later, his hands held me up and kept my head above water while I learned to swim in my grandparent’s backyard pool. During the terrible teen years, his hand grabbed the steering wheel and kept me from veering into oncoming traffic as he taught me how to drive. (Whew, thanks for that one, Dad!) And now as an adult, his hands are still there guiding me. Hey, they’re even in my artwork! If you asked him about these things, he’d say he was just doing what dads do, loving and supporting their kids as they make their way through life.

Yes, A father’s hands do so many things. And our Heavenly Father’s hands are no different. In times of trouble, God’s hands take care of us and give us shelter. When we feel down, defeated or all alone, they comfort us. When we don’t know what comes next, they mold and shape us into our future selves. And when we feel weak, they offer us the strength to keep going. Why? Because that’s what our loving Heavenly Father does. His hands are there for us through all of life ups and downs. Nothing is too big for Him to handle. And nothing is too small for Him to notice.

As you read these verses, look closing at what God has to say to you. Can you see His hands in your life? I hope so. And I pray that you will find comfort and encouragement in God’s hands today.

God’s hands take care of us

And He has made My mouth like a sharp sword;
In the shadow of His hand He has hidden Me,
And made Me a polished shaft;
In His quiver He has hidden Me.”

                              Isaiah 49:2

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Festive Bible Verses for Christmas

Festive Bible Verses for Christmas

I’m so excited for the Christmas season! And this past weekend my family got our festive on!

The tree is up and decorated, there are even a couple of presents wrapped underneath it.

The nativity has been lovingly arranged in its place of honor, our buffet table.

The ceramic snowmen from my childhood have found their way to the side tabletops.

The candy canes and chocolate are waiting to be gobbled up.

And Christmas cards are calling my name.

Yes, we are ready and well prepared for the festivities.

But before it all begins, let’s reflect on the most essential part of Christmas, the Messiah, the Chosen One, the Savior of our souls, Jesus. These Festive Bible Verses for Christmas always fill my heart with the true meaning of the season and I pray that they will do the same for you.

Old Testament Promises of the Messiah

There’s something about these scriptures that hits me deeply. So many years before Christ would come, God gave us His promise of a Savior. To see that promise in black and white brings tears to my eyes and thankfulness to my heart every time I read them.

But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
Though you are little among the thousands of Judah,
Yet out of you shall come forth to Me
The One to be Ruler in Israel,
Whose goings forth are from of old,
From everlasting.

                                                   Micah 5:2

And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.

                                                 Isaiah 9:6-7

Therefore God, Your God has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

                                              Psalm 45:7

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

                                             Zechariah 9:9

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

                                             Isaiah 7:14

A Promise Made and a Promise Keep in the New Testament

The most wonderful Christmas gift we will ever receive came silently on a dark night, wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. What an amazing gift to see the promise of the Messiah fulfilled in these scriptures! Not that He came as He said He would, but because He came to save us and give us new life. Praise for the greatest gift!

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

In the Psalms

The Psalms are always the perfect place to find inspiration. Their cries of praise and thanksgiving for a loving God start off our fall Bible verses.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name.

                                      Psalm 100:4

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

                                     Psalm 107:1

He made the moon for the seasons;
The sun knows the place of its setting.

                               Psalm 104:19

In the words of Jesus

There is nothing more powerful than the words of Jesus! And His assessment of the fall season gives us a great lesson in what it means to be a witness all year round.

Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.

                                   John 4:34

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

                                 Matthew 9:37

Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.

                                  John 4:35

Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

                               John 12:24

For the Season

These scriptures are favorites for a reason. They speak to the honest truth of the season and help us focus our minds on what is truly important this time of year.

in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

                               1 Thessalonians 5:18

And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

                                 James 3:18

They are clouds without water, carried about by the winds; late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots;

                                 Jude 12

‘They do not say in their heart,
“Let us now fear the Lord our God,
Who gives rain in its season,
Both the autumn rain and the spring rain,
Who keeps for us
The appointed weeks of the harvest.”

                               Jeremiah 5:24

I hope these Heartwarming Bible Verses for Fall have blessed you and inspired you for the season ahead. Happy Fall!

Heartfelt Bible Verses About Love

Heartfelt Bible Verses About Love

Love makes us who we are, it defines us as people. We all want to be loved and to give love. We love our family, our friends and even our pets. And they love us back. No matter what, we always return to the ones who love us and accept us for who we are. In that sense, love brings us together when everything else tries to tear us apart. This kind of love is a wonderful thing to have!

But the kind of love I’d like to share with you today is Biblical love. At the very core of Christianity is love. It is the foundation of our faith in Jesus. Love defines who we are in Christ and brings us together as believers. Without love there wouldn’t be a pathway to salvation or even a reason to believe. But praise Jesus! We are loved by God and fully accepted by Him! And most importantly, no matter what may happen, we can always return to Him because of love.

So, together let’s look at these heartfelt Bible Verses about love and discover how the different kinds of Biblical love impact our lives.

What is Biblical love?

Biblical love starts with God, Himself. He is the very definition of love! And His every characteristic is a picture of what true love is.

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

                                                        1 John 4:16

He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

                                                       1 John 4:8

The Hallmarks of Christian Love

These verses are the hallmarks of Christian love. And it is true that God is each of these things listed below. But these scriptures also give us a way to recognize real love when we see it. They are the benchmarks that we should measure love by. So as we read them we can ask ourselves… Is this how I feel? Is this how I am treated or how I treat others? All good things to consider when we look at what Christian love is all about.

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

 Love never fails.

                                                        1 Corinthians 13:4-8

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

                                                        1 Corinthians 13:13

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is #love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

God’s love for us

God loves us! And He showed His love by sending His Son to save us. And by doing so, made a way for us to spend eternity in heaven with Him.

In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

                                                         1 John 4:9-10

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

                                                         John 3:16

The love of Jesus for us

Just as God the Father loves us, so does the Son. Jesus gave up His rightful place in heaven, willing came to earth and freely died in our place. And because Jesus has risen from the grave we can claim this sacrifice of His love as our own and have eternal salvation in Him.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

                                                        John 15:13

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

                                                       Romans 8:35-39

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

                                                        John 15:9-10

A Command to love the Lord your God

God has commanded us to love Him. I know, none us likes to be commanded to do anything. But when we follow this commandment, God’s blessing is on us and we receive so much more than we could ever imagine!

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.

                                                     Deuteronomy 6:5

But take careful heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to keep His commandments, to hold fast to Him, and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

                                                    Joshua 22:5

Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’

                                                  Matthew 22:37-39

A New Commandment to love one another

We all need the love of Jesus. So, if we are truly His followers, then it makes perfect sense that we should show the love of Jesus to everyone around us. And as these next scriptures attest to, Jesus has given us a new commandment to do just that. And if we love Jesus, we will obey Him and show an unsaved world who He is through love.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

                                                     John 13:34-35

If you love Me, keep My commandments.

                                                    John 14:15

Beloved let us love one another, for love is of God.

                                                     1 John 4:7

Beloved let us #love one another, for love is of God. 1 John 4:7 #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

                                                    1 John 4:11

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”

                                                    1 Peter 4:8

We have barely scratched the surface of all that the Word of God has to say on the subject of love. But I pray that these heartfelt Bible verses about love have encouraged you to seek the love of Jesus in your life and to show His love to everyone you meet. His love is the greatest gift that any of us could ever receive. And the greatest gift that we could possibly give to so many around us. May your faith be strengthened by His love and grace always!

12 Uplifting Bible Verses for Faith in Hard Times

12 Uplifting Bible Verses for Faith in Hard Times

Life is hard! Really hard. And some days are tough to get through. Maybe it’s the little things that add up and drive us crazy or maybe we’re facing much bigger problems in life. Either way we can take comfort in God’s promises. He is faithful! And His word provides comfort anytime we need it. No matter what you’re going through, I truly hope that these 12 uplifting Bible verses for faith in hard times will give you the strength to carry on.

The substance of our faith keeps us going in hard times.

We may not be able to see faith with our eyes, but just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t real. We believe in gravity, yet we can’t see it. But we know that gravity is real and exists because we feel it and experience for ourselves. Likewise, we know our faith in Jesus is real because we feel it in our heart and experience it our daily lives. This is the substance of our faith and the hope that is within us. It is the reality that we have Jesus and He has us. If we truly believe in Jesus, then we have the assurance of our faith because we “see” it in our lives. These two verses speak directly to this kind of “blind faith”.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1 #BibleVerses #FaithClick To Tweet

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

                                                                Hebrews 11:1

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

                                                            2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Our faith is a firm place to stand when we are scared.

It’s so easy to be discouraged and feel defeated when things don’t go our way. We become scared of what tomorrow will bring and wonder if it will ever get better. But our faith in Jesus is our security and firm place to stand. When our faith is shaken, and life tries to tear us down, Jesus gives us strength and bravery. So stand fast in the faith and be strengthened by the One who died to set us free. Run to Him and find safety and unshakable ground.

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.

                                                            1 Corinthians 16:13

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

                                                            Proverbs 18:10

The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged.

                                                            Deuteronomy 31:8

Comfort in the Psalms

The book Psalms is full of wonderful descriptions of God’s protection and love for us. In fact there are too many to list here, so I encourage you to seek out these comforting scriptures for yourself. To get you started here are two of my favorites. They always give me comfort and inspiration when I’m feeling knocked down. I hope that they will lift you up and give you comfort as well.

God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear,
Even though the earth be removed,
And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though its waters roar and be troubled,
Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,
The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved;
God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!

                                                 Psalm 46:1-5; 10

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

                                                Psalm 27:13-14

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:1-5; 10 #Psalm #BibleVersesClick To Tweet

There is no doubt that hard-ships will come in life, but with Jesus we have victory!

Hard times seem to sneak up and hit us out of nowhere. When we least expect them they show up like an uninvited party guest who just won’t leave. But the Bible tells us that we should expect hard-ships in this life and that we should find joy in it. I know what you’re thinking, because I’m thinking it too. How can we possibly find joy in suffering? Well, it all goes back to Jesus. He suffered for us and He promised that we would suffer for His namesake. But we shouldn’t let it get us down, because even though we are participants in the suffering of Christ, we are also participants in His victory too! Because of Jesus our current circumstances will fade away in the light of eternity. We are victorious over this world and the hard-ships we face! And it’s all because of Jesus and His glory!

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

                                                            James 1:2-4

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

                                                            1 Peter 4:12-13

 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed-

                                                             2 Corinthians 4:8-9

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

                                                             1 Peter 1:6-9

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

                                                             1 Corinthians 15:57

Each of these 12 uplifting Bible verses for faith in hard times reminds us of God’s faithfulness. Yes, we face tough times in life. But God’s promises are always true. He is with us. He is for us. And He will never leave us alone in our despair. With God all things are possible. Even faith in hard times. So take heart, the Lord is with you. Keep the faith and claim the victory in Jesus name!
