In this devotional, we’ll explore Powerful Bible Verses about Grace and the deep meaning it has in our lives every day.
Grace is a word that gets thrown around a lot in Christian circles. Theologians and other “smart people” spend countless hours debating the concept of grace. And because there are so many scriptures on grace, it’s a topic that deserves discussion. But grace is not just for theologians to debate. It’s something for every believer, not only to understand but to possess.
When I think of grace, I see in my mind a beautiful ballerina taking the stage. Her hair is pulled up in the perfect ballet bun, her organza and tulle tutu frames her body just right and her pirouette is on pointe, y’all. The way she turns and spins and jumps through the air, oh, what grace! And she is graceful! But this type of grace is different from Biblical grace.
So, what exactly is grace? Hint… it’s not the prayer we say before a meal. Although, it’s always a good idea to thank God for everything He’s given to us.
Instead, grace is God’s favor bestowed on those who believe in His Son, Jesus. It is the power of God to freely forgive our sin even though we don’t deserve it. That seems simple enough, and really it is.
So together, let’s dive deep into these powerful Bible verses about grace and answer this question…
What does the Bible say about grace? And discover the full meaning of grace in our lives.
God’s grace gives us salvation
There is nothing we can do to earn salvation. We just don’t have the power to save ourselves. But that’s okay because God has given us a way to be saved. His grace and mercy were poured out through His Son, our Savior on the cross. And these scriptures on grace attest to the fact that faith in Jesus and the free gift of grace combined are the one thing that has the power to give us salvation. Grace is yours if you choose to accept Jesus as your Savior. He is the One and only way to grace and forgiveness of sin.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Jesus said My grace is sufficient for you
What power does grace give us?
We all know hard times will surely come our way. And we may feel weak and powerless when they do. But Jesus told us My grace is sufficient for you, It’s His grace that gives us strength and power to continue on. As the children’s hymn, Jesus Loves Me, says, “They are weak, but He is strong.”
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 NIV
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 ESV
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
1 Peter 5:10
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Acts 20:32 NKJV
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NIV
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
Acts 20:24 NIV
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Acts 20:24 NKJV
So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your strength comes from God’s grace, not from rules about food, which don’t help those who follow them.
Hebrews 13:9 NLT
We can grow in grace and watch it blossom in our lives
God’s grace is given to us the minute we know Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior. And there’s nothing that can take grace away from us. But each day that we live with Jesus, we learn more about Him and His character. We go deeper into grace, grow in it, and learn more from it. Grace takes root in our hearts and we see it blossom in our lives. As we see in these Bible verses about grace from the Holy Bible it simply becomes a part of who we are as believers.
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
2 Peter 3:18
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Amazing Grace Bible Verse
We all know the hymn Amazing Grace. It’s one of the most popular songs in history. But are the words of this hymn found in the holy scriptures?
The New Testament is full of scriptures about God’s grace. But there’s one verse that must have served as an inspiration for this great hymn.

But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
