King David knew a lot about heartbreak. When he wrote his Old Testament psalms, he was on the run and in hiding. David was betrayed by those closest to him and he suffered great pain because of it.

But David knew where his source of hope came from. He chose to draw near to our Heavenly Father during his sorrow and allowed God to heal him spiritually.
