“I sanctified you” is a phrase that speaks to God’s act of setting us apart for His purposes. The word “sanctify” means to make holy or consecrate. Jeremiah was set apart to be a prophet of the Lord, one who would speak the Word of God to the people of Judah. This wasn’t an easy task.
