Seeing God’s Hand

Seeing God's Hand

Imagine seeing God’s hand in your life.

What would it look like? How would it feel?

If you move in Christian circles, you’ve probably heard someone say, ”I saw God’s hand in my life!”. It’s a phrase that comes up often in conversations with other Christians or in testimonies given at church.

But what exactly does seeing God’s hand in your life mean? Is this something you’re supposed to look for? Or is it already there?

These questions have been on my mind a lot lately. Because it seems we’re all searching for God’s hand. At our core, we understand He is the answer to our problems. And we know if we could just figure out how to see His hand, things would turn around and our lives would change forever.

Every day we face challenges. Sometimes our struggles are big… broken relationships, health concerns, mountains of unpaid bills. Other times it’s the little things that drive us completely crazy… dinner to cook, never-ending piles of laundry and dishes. As they say, “The struggle is real!” And it is ya’ll! Way too real. And when these challenges add up, they leave us with a sinking, overwhelmed, exhausted feeling. Instead of searching for God’s hand we find ourselves struggling just to keep up with the demands of daily life.

So, in our quest to find God’s hand, I decided to write a devotional, 7 Simple Ways to See God’s Hand in Your Life. In it we’ll explore and answer the burning question, how can I see God’s hand in my life today? It’s completely free to download and written to encourage and uplift you on the journey to seeing God’s hand.

7 Simple Ways to See God's Hand in Your Life ebook

There’s an anonymous quote I love. It says… Those who leave everything in God’s hand will eventually see God’s hand in everything.” That’s a beautiful sentiment and one I can completely get behind. Because the truth is, the more we look for God in our lives, the more we see Him. He is always at work molding and shaping us into the people He wants us to become. And He is always protecting and loving us no matter what challenges we face.

Seeing God’s hand in everything is a hallmark of Christian life. His hand tells us the story of who He is and how He reaches out to us in our struggles. It’s an image of the divine interaction between God and His people. And it’s God’s characteristics, His very nature, that are on display when we feel His healing touch.

As we work our way through this short (and free 😊) Bible Study, we’ll look at six simple ways to see God’s hand in our lives…

#1 Walk Hand in Hand with God

A new beginning starts on day 1! To see God’s hand, take hold of it and learn to walk hand in hand with Him.

#2 Inscribed on His Hand

Day 2 is all about God’s deep and unwavering affection for us. This lesson will reveal the true nature of our relationship with Him.

#4 A Generous Hand

God’s generosity is immeasurable! And His hand goes above and beyond to provide all we need. This is the truth we’ll explore on day 4.

#5 The Strength of God’s Hand

We all have times when we feel weak. But at our lowest, we have the strength of God’s hand to rely on. Day 5 offers us hope for our weakest moments.

#6 Secure in His Hand

It’s human nature to seek safety. On day 6 we’ll talk about where real security comes. I’ll give you one guess… That’s right, it’s God’s hand!

#7 is a Life Changer!

You won’t want to miss this special lesson on day #7. It will change everything you thought you knew about your relationship with Jesus!

I hope you’ll resist the temptation to jump ahead because each of the six lessons leads up to this life-changing truth!

God’s Unconditional Love

God's Unconditional Love

LOVE. Most of us are searching for it in some aspect of our lives. And it seems to hold so much power over us. Without love, we feel empty, like there’s a gaping hole in our chest. With it, we feel happy, fulfilled, even giddy, like we’re dancing on air.

In our quest for love, what we’re really after is unconditional love. A love that doesn’t care if we’re having a bad hair day or our jeans are a little too tight. A love that stays with us through all the ups and downs. This is the love God meant for us to have all along, not just with each other but with Him.

Not long ago, I was sitting in the Sunday morning service. Our Worship Pastor and his lovely daughter were singing a duet. You’ve probably heard the song before, it goes… Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me. As I listened to them sing these beautiful words, God whispered in my ear, “You know My love is for you too.” Honestly, that broke my heart into tiny pieces.

I spend a lot of time thinking about how I can share the love of Jesus with the people in my life. Whether they’re family, close friends or someone I met five minutes ago, I want them to know how much Jesus loves them. It’s kind of an obsession of mine. 😊

But somewhere along the way, I forgot that God’s love is for me too. Well, of course, I knew God loved me, I just set it aside temporarily and forged ahead. But God didn’t forget or set me aside. Instead, He pursued me and reminded me of His great love. The love I was always destined to have.

God’s love is unconditional. It’s the love we’ve been looking for all our lives. His love meets us exactly where we are. It reaches down to scoop us up when we’re low. And when we’re soaring high, His love sails right along with us. Because that’s who God is, a loving, caring Father we can always depend on, in good times and in bad.

Maybe you’re looking for this kind of love in your life. Today, God wants to give you the love you were always meant to have and whisper in your ear, “My love is for you too! You are mine and I love you with unconditional love!”

So, in honor of the author of love, I’ve put together a list of Bible verses about God’s Unconditional Love. I hope they will encourage your heart the same way they have mine.

God’s Love for us

The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying:
Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love;
Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

                                                Jeremiah 31:3

I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
In righteousness and justice,
In lovingkindness and mercy;
I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the Lord.

                                              Hosea 2:19-20

God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations.

                                           Deuteronomy 7:9 (MSG)

Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountains,
your justice like the great deep.

You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.
How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.

                                           Psalm 36:5-7

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his #love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34 #BibleVerses Click To Tweet

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

He brought me to the banqueting house,
And his banner over me was love.

                                          Song of Solomon 2:4

Christ’s Love for Us

As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

                                                        John 15:9-10

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

                                          Galatians 2:20

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,

                                         Ephesians 5:25

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?…

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

                                                       Romans 8:35;38-39

As these verses attest to, God’s love is faithful, steadfast, loyal and most of all unconditional.

And God wants you to know He loves you with unconditional and unwavering love! Nothing will ever separate you from His love! Just like the song says… His love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on you. Are you ready to accept the priceless gift of God’s unconditional love?

This is my sincere prayer for you… Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you. (Jude 2) In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Blessings and love to you!
